PT-141 10 mg Peptide

PT-141 10 mg is the development code for bremelanotide, a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide derived from Melanotan II, supplied as a lyophilised powder. In studies of the compound it acts at melanocortin receptors, including MC1R, MC3R, and MC4R. The approved bremelanotide medicine has been studied for hypoactive sexual desire disorder in premenopausal women, with reported effects on desire and arousal. Those findings concern that drug and its formulation, not this vial, and they are not a dosing guide. 10 mg is the labelled content. For laboratory research only. Not for human or veterinary administration.

What Are PT-141 and Bremelanotide?

PT-141 is the development code for bremelanotide, a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide derived from Melanotan II. Its structure makes it relevant to comparative studies of melanocortin compounds and their interactions with receptors.

Bremelanotide is a melanocortin receptor agonist that activates several subtypes, including MC1R, MC4R and MC3R. It should therefore not be described as selectively isolating one receptor’s activity without appropriate experimental controls.

Research Applications of PT-141

PT-141 can be investigated in receptor-expressing models to examine binding, activation and downstream signal responses. Experiments using PT-141 should account for the receptors present, exposure time and assay conditions.

Comparative work may examine how cyclic peptide structures influence activity. A measured signal does not independently establish which pathway produced the response, so suitable controls are important when interpreting PT-141 results.

The 10mg quantity describes the labelled content, not an experimental dose or a guarantee of suitability for every protocol.

Quality and Analytical Documentation

For PT-141, review the HPLC result alongside available identity-testing records. A reported purity percentage applies to the tested sample and method; it does not independently establish peptide quantity, sterility or stability.

Match the certificate to the supplied vial and confirm that any advertised independent testing is supported by the relevant report. Avoid transferring analytical results from another batch or formulation.

PT-141 Reconstitution and Storage

Keep the lyophilised material sealed and follow the supplier’s documented storage conditions. Before you reconstitute the contents, confirm the solvent and concentration required by your validated protocol.

Bacteriostatic water should be used only where its composition is compatible with the peptide and assay. Record reconstitution details and follow product-specific instructions for prepared solutions rather than assuming a universal four-week shelf life.

This product is supplied for in-vitro laboratory research use only, not for human or veterinary administration. An approved medicine containing bremelanotide does not confer equivalent status on a separately supplied research reagent.
